Key terms & structural propositions

A systematic reference for the ontological and topological concepts developed across the essays. Key Terms form the foundational layer; propositions are structural claims built from them.

Note: Earlier essays use "temporal density" in a phenomenological sense (the felt depth or weight of a moment). In the developed framework, the term is defined ontologically as the referential scope of a zero‑thickness crossing. The two senses are related but not identical.

Type: Ontological Topological Structural Civilizational
1 Now (ontological)
Ontological

The invariant point of actualization where every being becomes actual. It does not flow, does not move, and belongs to no one — the metaphysical condition simultaneously sustaining every event in the cosmos.

The crossing of the lemniscate: site of freedom, identity, and the reorientation of the will.

2 Non-derivative
Structural

That whose being depends on nothing else in order to exist. It does not receive actualization — it gives it. The self-sustaining foundation of the Now: the I AM WHO I AM.

The only reality that does not participate in becoming but sustains it.

3 Temporal density
Ontological

Temporal density is the referential scope of a crossing: how much of a life's trajectory becomes visible as a completed form from a single zero‑thickness Now, without adding duration or thickness to the moment.

Clarifies how crossings disclose structure without altering the metaphysics of the Now.

4 Structural inertia
Structural

The ontological resistance to change arising from the repetition of acts in the Now. Each decision leaves a trace that facilitates or hinders the next, generating a trajectory that may consolidate into orientation or deviation.

Explains habit, fall, fixation, and the increasing difficulty of reorientation without grace.

5 Flat View
Topological

The inability to perceive the position from which experience is encountered. Under flat sight, attention rests on content, events, and outcomes while the crossing point that structures them remains unseen.

Explains why false centers can appear sufficient and why evacuation of the Now often goes unnoticed.

6 Topological relativity
Topological

The variation of meaning and effect according to one's position within the lemniscatic field. Not relativism, but structural dependence: the same reality has different measures depending on proximity to the Center.

Explains why identical states can land as gift, burden, or erosion depending on the orientation of the will.

7 Residency
Ontological

Residency is the habitation of an unfinished trajectory: the structural grip of what has not yet reached completion, drawing the will into the loop that circles an absence.

Explains grief, fixation, and the inertia of unresolved orientations.

8 Reference
Ontological

Reference is the structural visibility of a completed trajectory: the release of the will from an act that has reached its form and no longer generates a loop.

Explains closure, peace, and the stability that follows consummated crossings.

P1 The Gaitan Topology

A lemniscatic framework organized across four planes: Temporality (inside the loop), Eternity (outside the curve), Visible non-existence, and Eternal non-existence. All actualization occurs at the crossing point — the Now, marked by the I AM WHO I AM — where grace acts and evil cannot approach.

P2 The Now

The Now is a zero-thickness moment where potential becomes actual — the fixed locus of all events. Human agency, freedom, and grace operate exclusively here, within a microgap between possibility and actuality.

P3 Harmonic Echo

Unrealized possibilities do not vanish but return at later moments in transformed form. Divine providence reconfigures lost opportunities — challenging linear views of time and fate.

P4 The Ghost Zone

A parallel interior topology where the self functions detached from reality — through rehearsed success or anticipated defeat. A state of displacement accelerated by algorithmic culture, rendering the crossing point functionally uninhabitable.

P5 The Alternate Lemniscate

When the self abandons the true center, it constructs a false topology around a displaced center — pride, deferral, trauma, or illusion. These alternate lemniscates generate moral and existential collapse.

P6 Artificial Selection

A critique of modern systems that replace natural transformation with engineered continuity. Unlike Darwinian selection — which reveals being through constraint — artificial selection simulates endurance without depth.

P7 Topological Relativity

Identical experiences yield opposite outcomes depending on their relation to the center. At the crossing point, reception is inexhaustible; off-center, every fulfillment generates renewed lack.

The continuous, unbroken distance within every transition, an asymptotic space that prevents replacement and preserves identity.
